Disappointing Life
I no longer trust in the things that I see.
A disappointing life has nearly brought me to my knees.
The world around me seems to be infected with disease
A friend in need is a friend indeed at least that's what I'm told
but try it once and you'll find out that friendships can turn cold
the world around me seemed so young, I am getting old, so old
A quiet place to hide your face, suppress your fears inside.
Look into your mind and you will know that you can't hide.
The vision that you see there is a riddle for your minds eye
Death, destruction, hate and lies try to bring me down to size.
You see the world I see it too, there's so little we can do
but cry , and wonder why.
Now man needs love to sooth his soul but you know it don't come lightly.
A woman comes to calm the beast but she has to do it nightly.
If she don't she'll pay the price she don't know what's more
frightening.
A Bullet hole at any time can wreck another dream
And when I get to the other side I hope that I'll see things
That I haven't seen in a long, long time
Since I was young and free, young and free
When my eyes start fading I will know the end is near
and when I hear the rattle there will be no time for fear
and when the reaper calls my name I say I'm here, I'm hear.
